Removal of Tadahito Iguchi
[edit]I removed Tadahito Iguchi from the list since he has publicly declared he would not be playing for Japan. I'm not sure if it's worth noting his absense (or Hideki Matsui's for that matter). --Do Not Talk About Feitclub (contributions) 10:52, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
Does this article badly need cites?
[edit]More of a question than trying to push an opinion, but seeing {{unreferenced}} at the top of the article puzzles me. I don't see any comments that scream out "I need references", nor how hanging footnotes on any line or sentence would improve things. This is, when all is said & done, a list; the facts should have their cites in those articles. Or maybe my assumption is wrong, based on misunderstanding hwo the average reader would look at this article. Thoughts? -- llywrch 21:01, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
Temp removed roster
[edit]Roster removed while I edit this page a bit, I'm considering removing the roster completely and adding it to a separate list article with the rest of the world baseball classic rosters.--Borgardetalk 10:19, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Olympics roster
[edit]Does the above 2006 World Baseball Classic roster reflect which players are competing in Beijing? LordAmeth (talk) 20:22, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- No. See Baseball at the 2008 Summer Olympics - Team squads#Japan for that. I believe the idea of the edit above was to move the roster from one single event to a more appropriate place, and also clean up the national team article so it would focus on more than just the 2006 WBC. Neier (talk) 15:18, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks. I didn't see that link from Baseball at the 2008 Summer Olympics, and so I asked here. LordAmeth (talk) 18:05, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
Friendly games
[edit]Are warm up games against teams like the Yomiuri Giants common or rare?andycjp (talk) 11:08, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
