Comments:

  • The prose is great, and the article looks generally factually accurate and verifiable (the only thing are the two uncited sentences to the first paragraph of "life and slaying"). It is also stable, neutral, broad in coverage and illustrated.
  • A question, out of curiosity; you say McCrea's grave also contained the remains of McNeil. Are there any theories regarding her death? The article states she was alive to witness natives carrying McCrea's scalp, and so she didn't die contemporaneously with McCrea. Any ideas?
  • You write that she was "apparently slain". What about "purportedly"? "Apparently" sounds uncertain.

In any case, the article passes the GA review. JonCatalán(Talk) 05:36, 4 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for taking the time to review; I will cite the uncited sentences soon, and change "apparently".
In re McNeil: I've not specifically looked for fragments of her life and death that might explain why/how they ended up in the same grave; this is not something most conventional sources (or the paper on the modern exhumation) deal with, and will probably send me into a genealogy book. She clearly seems to have survived the events around McCrea's death. Magic♪piano 13:55, 4 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
