Article is worth a page
[edit]Janta Curfew is nothing but translated to Self-quarantine by people - does it need an article page ?Jethwarp (talk) 09:04, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
- Jethwarp, that's a good question. When I first saw the article I was thinking the same. However, the article should capture a large number of initiatives the governments (central and the state governments) are taking for this event/observation. Currently the article does not capture these details. And post-event there will be reactions also. --Titodutta (talk) 19:57, 21 March 2020 (UTC)

UTTRAKHAND CM CURFEW
[edit]High alert has been made at the residence of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat regarding the corona virus. Any visitor coming from outside, police security and all staff of the Chief Minister's staff are being investigated. The person coming from outside is not allowed to go inside the doctor's green signal. The CMO office has deployed a team of two doctors outside the Chief Minister's residence to conduct an investigation.
Uttarakhand is on full alert regarding Corona. Full security is being exercised everywhere from all public places. The Health Department itself is fully prepared at the Chief Minister's residence. Only after medical examination and sanitizing at the Chief Minister's residence, someone is being allowed to enter. Due to this, strict instructions have been given by the Health Department in the Chief Minister's residence.
Public curfew appealed to the people of the state
At the same time, after PM Modi's appeal to fight Corona, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand has appealed to the people of the state to cooperate in the Janata curfew, so that the disease can be dealt with. During this time, the people will not have any problem in the house especially about the food items, for this, the police will work to deliver ration to the house, so that people will not have to come out unnecessarily.
Rudrapur Janta Inter College student Devkinandan said about the corona virus. I want to tell the citizens of the country that not all of you get out of the house and help me to make this deadly virus a success. Let's all finish the corona virus Thank you people of my country DK DEVKI NANDAN (talk) 05:16, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
Debunking rumours
[edit]I added some info about people misunderstanding the reason for the curfew (or rather, I made it more prominent and added a paragraph about it). I did not add sources to the paragraph as I though that the sources below it in the next paragraph proved that people did believe these rumors. I also added grammar corrections and tried to make the page a bit better in format. People did not seem to read the edit because it was reverted three times and they thought it was vandalism. I was debunking rumors, not creating them and added other improvements to the page too. The fact they also reverted everything rather than just the paragraph proves my point about them not reading my edit. Can you please revert my edit? Thanks in advance. --51.37.99.16 (talk) 21:57, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
Special page unnecessary
[edit]Wikipedia is meant to be an encyclopaedia. The existence of Janata Curfew can be mentioned in the Indian page of the COVID-19 pandemic and does not need a separate page with a collage of information. All these details can be found out from a google search. This much information is not needed on Wikipedia for this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Santoshsatvik (talk • contribs) 08:26, 23 March 2020 (UTC)
Need attention
[edit]Titodutta, The9Man, Karthikndr, Shanze1, Kautilya3 .... I want to bring all your attention here. Since, you all are and I am not involved in the covid articles, so can anyone just copy the lead of this article to any section or a separate section at 2020 coronavirus lockdown in India, so that the merge process can be eased. 2020 coronavirus pandemic in India#Communication already mentioned it, so I don't think anything more to add in this section of the article or an extra line if needed. I don't know why the merging is taking so much time as already the concerned article, 2020 coronavirus pandemic in India mentioned it very specifically. Dey subrata (talk) 07:06, 7 April 2020 (UTC)
- Quick note in case you/anyone wants to copy, please ensure to read Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Regards. --Titodutta (talk) 09:11, 7 April 2020 (UTC)
- Sure, but I am not gonna do it, if anyone interested and one can do it per WP:PROMERGE as I can see there is a clear consensus to merge..though redirects needed for this. Dey subrata (talk) 10:23, 7 April 2020 (UTC)
