Jamestown Massacre

[edit]

Shouldn't this page include a reference to the Jamestown massacre? Hyaline eston 23:43, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jamestown in the Carribean

[edit]

Shouldn't this page also include a reference to Jamestown, a former capital of St Kitts and Nevis, in the Carribean. Indeed the Wikipedia article on this country does make reference to Jamestown. 203.194.48.251 01:05, 8 March 2007 (UTC)Thomas Brinsmead, Newcastle[reply]

Maybe. Saint Kitts and Nevis does not appear to mention anywhere called Jamestown. History of Saint Kitts and Nevis says it was a myth that it was a city destroyed by earthquake and tsunami in 1690. Nevis says Jamestown was the capital of Nevis (not Saint Kitts and Nevis) and that it was destroyed as above in 1690, but without references. Neither appears to have links, and I don't like adding red links to dab pages if they don't link to article titles already linked from elsewhere. --Scott Davis Talk 10:40, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

More Prominent Position for Jamestown, VA?

[edit]

Given that the Jamestown Settlement has a substantial place in history which eclipses that of many other articles, shouldn't it be featured more prominently. It seems like someone would be more likely to be looking for it than most of the other articles listed here. 75.182.102.162 22:00, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jamestown (disambiguation)

[edit]

Wouldn't Jamestown (disambiguation) be the proper title for this page? --θnce θn this island Speak! 00:09, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, because then anyone just typing in "Jamestown" would get no connection. Disambiguation pages are titled with the basic name only. (Sarah777 (talk) 00:24, 10 December 2007 (UTC))[reply]
