Interesting to find out that Cranbook in Michigan teaches the NSW HSC :p maybe instead of bloomfield, try bellevue, and instead of michigan try sydney, and maybe instead of assuming everyone lives in america, assume they dont

why is the neutrality disputed if there is no information about it on the talk page?

It appears these edits are in dispute. -- Longhair 06:37, 2 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Current/Former?

[edit]

It appears Packer might be still considered a current Scientologist, if this is an indication... -- Antaeus Feldspar 13:20, 1 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Erica Baxter

[edit]

James Packer announced his engagement to Erica Baxter on Christmas Day

Interesting- I would love to have someone elaborate on this statement: "Despite being the son of the richest man in Australia, he received Austudy (Government financial assistance) while studying at high school due to his father's creative accounting."

No surprise there, Kerry and James are both as crookered as a dog's hind leg —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.45.59.71 (talk) 04:40, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The English language wikipedia is much more interesting when it comes to the personal environment of people who are newsworthy for some reason or the other. This is not really nosiness but sometimes when they hit the headlines you'd like to understand what made people tick or still ticks them over.
You should probably not include the precise birthdays of children, as is the case in this article. Talk to an IT guy what importance birthdays can have. I was most perplexed when my IT guy mentioned he uses a ficticious birthday and I was happy to re-discover that I had used the birthday of a late friend for a significant registration. So, at least I have two birthdays in the deep caves of the internet data horders ..... Why am I writing this? Got too much time on my hands today. I am not even a fan of this guy, nor have I ever seen a casino from the inside. Trying to be helpful for no reason. 144.136.192.10 (talk) 06:49, 9 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Weight

[edit]

Why was my note deleted? Ok, I concede I shouldn't make personal comments. However, the point is still relevant. http://socialitelife.com/photos/james_packer_adjusts_his_pecker_obvious_observations/james-packer-lounges-on-a-yacht-in-sydney-03192010-14/full-size He is a very large man. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.106.76.230 (talk) 03:35, 31 December 2011 (UTC) Another weight loss story. This is a good news story and it is relevant to the man's life. http://www.smh.com.au/national/shrinking-mogul-packer-rolls-back-the-years-20121011-27f2o.html — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.106.2.209 (talk) 07:20, 11 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Scientology

[edit]

I've removed the "Former Scientologists" category as it hasn't been established that the man ever identified himself as such, or that his involvement was anything more than introductory services. If it can be sufficiently established that he had, in fact, identified himself as a Scientologist, then that changes things. However, based on the sources, as far as I can tell his involvement seems to have been limited to very basic services, as with Will Smith and many others who we certainly do not list as "Scientologists" or "former Scientologists" just because they read a few books or did some services. Especially when we've got people on Wikipedia wanting to remove any information regarding verifiably established and veteran Scientologist notables who do identify as such, we certainly should maintain a reasonable standard with those who simply dabbled, at most having read a book. Sure you did, dear Scientologist! You were wrong. Bring back the scientology section. 96.23.56.49 (talk) 20:18, 28 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Airbrushing of criminal investigation

[edit]

A sourced section of this article details how James Packer was under investigation by Israeli Authorities on what seems to be a matter related to bribery. This is under a rather euphemistic section "Other business activities". The information does not seem to relate to any business, and comes across as a blatant attempt to bury the information in the article.

I would request any feedback prior to making changes as this is a biography of a living person. --Willthewanderer (talk) 15:26, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
