[edit]Shouldn't this be moved back to James Montgomery (colonel) to be more consistent with Wiki guidelines and thousands of other similar biographies from across the spectrum of Wikipedia? 8th Ohio Volunteers (talk) 12:42, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
- I believe it should be moved back. The person who moved it has not responded to my queries about the move, so we should move it back. Red Harvest (talk) 21:00, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Civil War
[edit]The 54th mass did not participate in the Raid at Combahee Ferry, they only arrived in Beaufort the day Montgomery arrived back from the raid. Jeff G (talk) 18:36, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
Even if in some parts of the country this guy is considered "fanatical" that's a matter of opinion. Writing that he would "even" cooperate with the "fanatical" John Brown is no more appropriate here than if you were to write that "James Montgomery really put the fear of God into the secessionist traitors." —Preceding unsigned comment added by Abu America (talk • contribs) 22:57, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
