I think this page should just redirect to the Amritsar Massacre page but I don't know how to do that

Improvement
[edit]For Later years section: Does it qualify as WP:NOTNEWS? The place may have been visited by many dignitaries. Why write about some specific people? Only because they are British? I think it is unwarranted IMO. @Whispyhistory: -Nizil (talk) 06:11, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
- I think the visits and apology etc things are covered well in Jallianwala Bagh massacre#Monument and legacy. So here it should only focus on the "place" with brief history. What do you think? -Nizil (talk) 06:14, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
- @Nizil Shah:...Sure. We could see if other well documented and widely publicized visits have happened or leave it out. I'll have a read around. Thank you for watching over. What do you suggest? Maybe other editors might help. Whispyhistory (talk) 10:07, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
- Hi @Nizil Shah: The visits from British and Indians are quite well publicised, so added some relevant to visiting the site. Please amend as feel appropriate. I found that there was a daily narration of the story of 1919 which was voiced by Amitabh Bachan...[1], [2], but I can't tell if when it started and if if temporally stopped or is still playing. Whispyhistory (talk) 16:19, 15 October 2019 (UTC)
- @Whispyhistory: The light and sound show seem stopped due to lack of funds according to reference. So I suggest not to include it in the article (Reference of Feb 2019). The visits were well publicised and are covered in massacre article. I suggest to focus on place and memorials here. History of the massacre and visits are better left to massacre article because of better context there. Regards,Nizil (talk) 11:22, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
- Sure...will expand on memorials over time...I hope I have done ok...Whispyhistory (talk) 21:31, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
- @Whispyhistory: After recent edits, I have cleaned up and reorganised the article. Please have a look. The early history (before massacre) needs references (tagged citation needed). I think some images in Jallianwala Bagh#Site next to text in each section (Entrance etc.) would give better context instead of images presented in Gallery. Regards,- Nizil (talk) 07:57, 18 November 2021 (UTC)
- Hi @Nizil Shah:... Looks good. I will do as you have suggested... sounds sensible. Whispyhistory (talk) 16:55, 18 November 2021 (UTC)
