Merge

[edit]

Though Jaguares de Chiapas officialy dissappeared a month ago and the franchise was bought by Querétaro, the new Chiapas F.C. (which was previously San Luis has been renamed as Jaguares de Chiapas, in a search for mantaining the identity of the "dissappeared" team. If there aren't two Querétaro F.C. pages (for old and the new) why there are two Chiapas pages (Jaguares and F.C.) ? ProofR (talk) 14:34, 7 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The articles should be merged but it should still be called Chiapas F.C. since Jaguares is the nickname of the team. The team is officially known as Chiapas F.C.GoPurple'nGold24 23:48, 7 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Chiapas F.C. is the former football club from San Luis and has inherited San Luis' place in the relegation table. Accordingly, I think it is misleading to state that this club was formerly known as Jaguares de Chiapas (that club moved to Querétaro and is now known as Club Querétaro). The managerial and other history for this page really ought to reflect that of San Luis prior to Apertura 2013, should it not? Jogurney (talk) 17:50, 5 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
This is really confusing, to the average fan it's even more confusing. What ever should be done should be done. I added "formerly known as Club de Fútbol Jaguares de Chiapas" only because that's how it's stated in the spanish article but I it's confusing. I think this is similar to the Rangers F.C.. The current Rangers franchise is not the original one, I believe but the article has all the history of the former Rangers franchise. GoPurple'nGold24 05:04, 3 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Also on the club's website they have the old Jaguares franchise history. http://www.chiapasfc.com/contenidos/historia_club GoPurple'nGold24 05:14, 3 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Potential Vanadlism

[edit]

I noticed that the "Current Squad" section today included many players from AC Milan with Neymar added in. I do not believe this is the team's real roster, so I inserted an older version which appears to have the real roster. If I have made a mistake, let me know.
