Why does this article include a link to Ward Churchill? Aside from being a professor with politically liberal views, Bhagwati and Churchill have nothing in common.

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 3 external links on Jagdish Bhagwati. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

India-born naturalized American

[edit]

For future reference, "Indian" in the US remains ambiguous usage. It is not just preferable semantically, but also syntactically. Would you say, "New Zealander born?" There are other issues. Kipling was also born in India, he too is India-born. But that's where the similarity ends. Kipling was a British citizen when he was born in India. We can apply "India-born Briton" to him. But for Bhagwati, for accuracy, we do need to say India-born naturalized-American to distinguish him from Americans, both of whose parents were Americans, but who happened to be born in India. Bhagwati, to my knowledge, became a US citizen in 1996, when he was over 60 years old. Mentioning naturalization is, therefore, all the more imperative.
