The article refers to a document (Nr 3 of bibliography) which says exactly the opposit: Prince Charles being circumcised by Snowman is a fabricated story spread by hearsays.... In addition, 2 other links (nr 2 and 4) are from Jewish Chronicle's article which are not supported by any source; and The Telegraph link (nr 5) is dead. I suggest to remove any mention of Charles and the Royal Familiy, or to mention them as falsely spread — Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.2.64.52 (talk) 18:06, 22 June 2021 (UTC)
- NOTE 3 claims that the extended tradition is a myth, not the details of the Rabbi and King Charles. P18 of the preprint on Academia states "Although the best-known evidence for this is an unsourced statement in Anthony Holden’s biography (Holden, 1979, p. 55), it has not been seriously questioned, and may be taken as fact." See also footnote 1 ad loc "In support of Holden’s account, there is a press report from 1948 reproduced on several websites, which reads as follows: “London (JTA) – Crown Prince Charles, son of Princess Elizabeth and heir to the British throne, was circumcised in Buckingham Palace by Rev. Jacob Snowman, official Mohel of the London Jewish community, the Mizrachi News Bureau reported. Rev. Snowman, who is a noted Jewish scholar specializing in the poetry of Bialik, has been ritual circumciser in London for many years.” (Barzak, date unknown) The Jewish Telegraphic Agency is unable to ascertain in which newspapers this dispatch appeared, but the consensus is that it appears to be authentic. (Soclof, 2013)" 62.252.62.100 (talk) 14:54, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
