Cleanup and paraphrase

[edit]

I just finished Albert Bates' Swilling biography -- it's a good read. It does look like the article has some passages lifted almost verbatim from Bates' text, so I've started cleaning up and paraphrasing.

Bates appears to be the most comprehensive recent biography of Swilling, so it will remain, and properly so, the main source and reference for our article. --Pete Tillman (talk) 19:04, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've finished the cleanup, and removed the tags. Article is still verbose, but better. Pete Tillman (talk) 05:46, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Modern canals' relationship to the ancient canals

[edit]

Did Swilling dig all-new canals, or did he, to some extent, merely refurbish the ancient Hohokam canals? In other words, did the remnants of the prehistoric canals make his job any easier? 199.46.199.232 (talk) 23:30, 24 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
