Factual problems
[edit]As the time of writing, this article contains factual errors and contestable statements.
- Herzog cannot be considered the "father of Apartheid" - the origins of the apartheid policy are complex and numerous.
- The defeat in 1924 of Smuts' South African Party was by a coalition of Herzog's National Party and the Labour Party - which drew its support from the English-speaking working class - and was known as the Pact government
