Missing reference in company history

[edit]

I was just reading the article on the 1930's business plot and there was substantial mentions, from US Congress to the initial exposer of the coup detat plans of J.P. Morgan & Co. in the article. It seems they were principle actors in this part of US history. So if someone takes the time perhaps they could add a section to the main article outlining these allegations as this seems like a very significant part of their history. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Senor Freebie (talkcontribs) 00:35, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hedge fund?

[edit]

I found nothing specifically points to a hedge fund offering or activity. They are categorized as a hedge fund in general and then specific to New York.--RedmondKane (talk) 02:45, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

J.P. Morgan Securities topic needed

[edit]

It appears that this article is in need of a section on the present-day "J.P. Morgan Securities" -- and/or a separate Wikipedia article on that subject. I assume that it is very distinct in its functioning, affiliations and legal status (including the governing regulatory system) from the rest of J.P. Morgan & Co. and its various entities described on Wikipedia.

The "J.P. Morgan Securities" entity has its own website, and is so widely mentioned on the web -- and even in numerous other Wikipedia articles (particularly about prominent people who have become involved with "J.P. Morgan Securities") -- and has sucn significant economic impact (theoretically, at least, even if only by its connection to the rest of the J.P. Morgan entities), that it probably merits detailed specific (and probably separate) coverage.

(This is not my field of expertise; I prefer to edit in areas that are. I think this is probably a job for the finance and securities experts among the Wikipedia editors -- at least to start the subject. I just noticed it when editing a Wikipedia article about a prominent public figure who has joined J.P. Morgan Securities -- as apparently have several others noted in Wikipedia.)
