Same person?

[edit]

I'm assuming from his dates and his connections that he's the same person as the I. I. Wihtol mentioned here. The I. I. presumably being short for Iosif Ivanovich or Iosif Iosifovich? -- Jack of Oz ... speak! ... 21:17, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I see that he is referred to as Iosif Ivanovich Wihtol in Russian contexts. We ought to mention this. Wihtol is a German romanisation; the usual English one would be Vitol, I suppose. How would the Russians have spelt his name in Cyrillic - Вийтол, or maybe just Витол? Any ideas? -- Jack of Oz ... speak! ... 21:43, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Иосиф Иванович Витоль according to the Russian Wikipedia. Sijtze Reurich (talk) 20:19, 20 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong placement of composition

[edit]

Please note that his Valse and Mazurka are compositions for the piano, not vocal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.63.28.93 (talk) 10:51, 23 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
