    • ALT1: ... that after participating in the mutiny on the Potemkin, Ivan Beshoff decided to settle in Ireland following a meeting with Vladimir Lenin and James Larkin? Source: " socialist, Beshoff was one of the crew of the Russian battleship Potemkin that mutinied in the Black Sea (27 June 1905). When the ship docked at the Romanian port of Constantia he escaped and made his way to London; there he met Lenin, who in 1911 introduced him to James Larkin (qv), thus kindling an interest in Ireland that led to a visit to Dublin (1913) when he was on his way to Canada. On missing his ship, Beshoff decided to stay and to take on the Irish agency of the Russian oil company ROP, which he retained until the company ceased trading (1940)." from: Woods, C. J. • Pinging @Dumelow: because one issue is the hook fact for ALT0 is not cited correctly in the article. I believe that the very last line in the article needs this citation <ref name=nyt/> added. The article is new enough and long enough. The QPQ is done, the article is neutral and I do not see evidence of plagiarism. The article used the correct inline citations. I prefer ALT0 once it is cited correctly as I find it more interesting. Also ALT1 is not worded great with two instances of the word after. Bruxton (talk) 18:17, 11 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
FYI should add a short description. (not dyk related} Bruxton (talk) 18:20, 11 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Bruxton, good spot on the missing citation, fixed. I reworded ALT1 a bit but happy for ALT0 to run, if that's preferred. I never know what to put in the short description especially for subjects with multiple careers but I've had a go - Dumelow (talk) 09:49, 12 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
