This article looks well written and seems to have in-depth coverage, I'll get to reviewing it later today. --Kyle Peake (talk) 07:59, 7 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox and lead

[edit]
  • Link to music video in infobox like we did in "Deep in Love"
 Done
  • "released on a CD single in 2013" → "released as part of a CD single in 2013"
 Done
  • "solely written and produced by Cristian Faur" - change Cristian Faur to Cezar, as Cristian is his real name though that is not stated in the introduction and may lead to confusion for readers.
Cristian Faur is a different person.
  • "Musically, "It's My Life" has been described" → "Musically, the track has been described"
 Done
  • Remove the ref in the lead as it is already sourced in the body
 Done
  • After the last sentence of para 1, add "The bridge includes a sample of service Vengeance Audio."
It isn't that important to be included in the lead, really.
  • "was met with mixed reactions and was often featured in publications' lists" → "was met with mixed reactions and often featured in publications' lists"
 Done
  • ""It's My Life" itself received similar reviews" → "The track itself received similar reviews"
 Done
  • "Cezar embarked on a tour in Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Belgium in 2013" the countries should be in reverse alphabetical order
 Done
  • "was filmed by Cristian Faur" → "was filmed by Cezar"
Again, a different person
  • "was uploaded onto the singer's official YouTube channel" → "was uploaded to his official YouTube channel"
 Done
  • ""It's My Life" was covered by Macedonian singer" → "The track was covered by Macedonian singer"
 Done
  • "Your Face Sounds Familiar, respectively" → "Your Face Sounds Familiar respectively"
 Done
  • Similarly to "Deep in Love", I've found too much repetition of "It's My Life" which has been pointed out

Background and composition

[edit]
  • "was solely written and produced by Cristian Faur" → "was solely written and produced by Cezar" - the notes may say Cristian Faur but that is his real name so it works as Cezar
Again, another person.
  • "by the Romanian Television (TVR) in 2013" → "through the Roman Television (TVR) in 2013" - "by" may imply that the label is an artist
 Done
  • "is a love song,[8] and contains lyrics such as: "Love is so true, I can paint my world in blue".[9] Its instrumentation" - Delete the content about the lyrics as ref 9 is from an unreliable source as I've explained, then merge the "love song" sentence to the next with ""It's My Life" is a love song and its instrumention..."
 Done
  • Change target from "Sample (music)" to "Sampling (music)" as the former is a redirect
 Done

Critical reception

[edit]
  • Good

Promotion and other usage

[edit]
  • Retitle to Music video and promotion; the covers do classify as promotion and music video comes first
 Done
  • Image needs alt text
 Done
  • "was uploaded onto" → "was uploaded to"
 Done
  • ",[19] and was also exclusively premiered" → ",[19] which was also exclusively premiered"
"which" would imply that the YouTube channel was exclusively premiered. It works fine as it stands right now.
  • "was filmed by Cristian Faur" → "was filmed by Cezar"
Again, different person.
Yeah I'm sorry I kind of assumed it was him because of the writing credit but now know otherwise. I'll always check credits to make sure it is indeed the artist who wrote it next time.
  • "clip's plot "full of adrenaline"" → "clip's "full of adrenaline" plot"
 Done
  • "the singer explained" → "he explained"
 Done

At Eurovision

[edit]

National selection

[edit]
  • "24 February, respectively, and" → "24 February respectively, and"
 Done

In Malmö

[edit]
  • Image needs alt text
 Done
 Done
  • Whole second paragraph needs to be re-written in the past tense; i.e "Cezar's performance begins with him" → "Cezar's performance began with him"
This is incorrect. We're describing the plot of a performance, being the same as with dscribing a plot of a music video, which you do in present tense. Also, the performance is accessible on YouTube, so you can still watch it now. Cartoon network freak (talk) 15:18, 7 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Wiki has cited Daily Mail as unreliable, so remove the content from it

Final comments and verdict

[edit]
  • Looks better than the other article I've reviewed, is alright in its current state but does need multiple improvements. Putting this on hold. Also, only one person worked on this so no credits and personnel section is needed as you referenced him as writing and producing it in the first section. --Kyle Peake (talk) 12:53, 7 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Kyle Peake: Comments have been addressed. Cartoon network freak (talk) 15:20, 7 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Cartoon network freak: Brilliant work! Only have one issue that needs fixing before this is listed as a GA; since Cristian Faur is the writer/producer's real name, refer to him by that only once in the lead and once in the body (background and composition) then Faur elsewhere (that means the second time it is in the lead too) --Kyle Peake (talk) 15:26, 7 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Kyle Peake:  Done Cartoon network freak (talk) 15:33, 7 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Cartoon network freak: Changed to mentioning him by full name in the first section as well as lead, since some who go straight to sections may not know Faur is a surname. Proud of you, I'll  Pass this! --Kyle Peake (talk) 15:35, 7 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
