- What I think should be changed:
Add result to the info-box
− | + | Israeli victory |
- Why it should be changed:
It seems that the conflict has finished. Many sources claim that Israel won, and I couldn't find sources that claim the opposite.
- References supporting the possible change:
From a shared article by ISW[1] and AEI[2]:
"Israeli operations in Lebanon have defeated Hezbollah and compelled the group to end its involvement in the October 7 War"
From Atlantic Council[3]:
"A win for the Lebanese and Israeli peoples and governments; a loss for Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas"
From BBC[4]:
"The group has told its followers that the loss in the war is a victory, but many know the truth is different"
From BESA[5]:
"The organization ... in light of its defeat in the campaign"
From rfe/rl[6], which acording to WP:RSP, is considered 'No consensus', but nothing specific to this \ Arab-Israel conflicts:
"Lebanon Cease-Fire Deal Seen As Major Victory For Israel"
From Responsible Statecraft[7]:
"Netanyahu ... has declared victory. There is some truth to Netanyahu's narrative"

Not done The article does not mention that this is a victory for Israel. Before adding "Israeli victory" to the infobox, the text should include at least a few lines supporting that claim. So I am adding "answered=yes" to the request. If you don't agree, please feel free to state your arguments and change into "answered=no". Friendly, Lova Falk (talk) 09:35, 15 March 2025 (UTC)

- What I think should be changed:
Add to the aftermath section a new paragraph:
− | + | In the aftermath of the 2023–2024 Israel–Hezbollah conflict, numerous analysts and experts have characterized the outcome as a significant victory for Israel. The Institute for the Study of War reported that Israeli operations effectively degraded Hezbollah's capabilities, leading to a ceasefire agreement on November 26, 2024, which mandated Hezbollah's disarmament in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah failed to accomplish its goal of compelling Israel to cease operations in the Gaza Strip, resulting in a weakened position within the region. Similarly, experts from the Atlantic Council noted that Israel's military actions, including the elimination of Hezbollah's leader, Hassan Nasrallah, significantly diminished the group's operational effectiveness. |
- Why it should be changed:
Just adding more information to the aftermath.
- References supporting the possible change:
ISW article [8].
Atlantic council article [9].
