Translation of technical stuff on suspension and steering
[edit]I just translated a section on the chassis from German wiki. However, unusually configured suspension set ups and steering arrangements of the 1960s are a technical area somewhat beyond my level of daily discourse. If anyone has time to compare the German text with my translation of it, and finds anything that needs improving in the latter .... yes please. And thank you.
The front wheels of the Iso Rivolta 300 are suspended by linkages of uneven length with a sway bar. The rear wheels are attached with twin trailing arms using a De Dion axle with a Watt's linkage. Coil springs and telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers are fitted to all four wheels. The recirculating ball steering system needs five turns from lock to lock: the turning circle is unusually large at approximately 12.5 meters. With a 7 ° 30 ' caster angle, straight-line stabiity is excellent even at 200 km/h (124 mph).
Engine
[edit]Is the engine in this car not the Chevy 327 like in the Grifo? MartinezMD (talk) 05:29, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- Yes it did. I have added it. U1 quattro TALK 05:37, 29 May 2020 (UTC)
