Reference to 'CyberNews' regarding "investigation"
[edit]This "CyberNews" website looks quite sensationalist to me (e.g. links to e-mail the writer tips give the game away) and so I don't think it's a reliable source to be cited by Wikipedia. Your opinions? --Buyoof 20:17, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
Removed References to Sound Vision from History
[edit]This information is not relevant to ICNA history (and is not accurate to begin with). Mr "Honestlove" (or Kos-Daily, BTW having two IDs is a violation of wiki TOS) needs to be more introspective about his personal vendettas and figure out if this is really the best use of his time on this planet. Why not raise money for those suffering from the floods still in Pakistan? --FightPettiness (talk) 15:23, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
You are Right
[edit]There are many neo-con cites which have little to no journalistic standards who spew a bunch of garbage about all of the Mainstream Islamic Organizations out there. This article does need a more in depth look at the organization, but without copy and pasting from their official site. -AK
Fair use rationale for Image:ICNA.png
[edit]Image:ICNA.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 00:14, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
This article is TERRIBLE
[edit]Someone just did a google books search fir ICNA to try and add cites to this article. Most don't even say *anything* about supporting terrorist organizations. Those that do, just point to right-wing propaganda books like "American Jihad" that don't need to be fact-checked in anyway. Look at the cites. Do you see the word ICNA or "Islamic Circle of North America" in the title of ANY of them? And then soemone puts up a link to "whyislam"? This is a hitpiece, not an article. --69.123.205.100 (talk) 16:12, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
SELFPUB
[edit]I think ICNA's condemnation of terrorism is a fair way of representing the group's ideology. I'm open to moving this to another section (like Ideology) or keeping it separate. And of course, we wouldn't use this in another article. But this definitely belongs here.VR talk 02:15, 30 November 2011 (UTC)
IPT
[edit]There seems to be consensus that IPT isn't a very reliable source. So I'm going to go ahead and remove them from this article.VR talk 16:03, 8 April 2017 (UTC)
