Revamp Proposal

The subject of the page as the title says should be "Islam in Kashmir". This page should be about the pre-islamic period, the period of propagation/spread of Islam in Kashmir , and the era since then. Also sections such as "current trends" and other aspects can be included. Based on this discussion, i propose a major revamp to this page. Islam in Kashmir should specifically focus on the Kashmir Valley, because the if we take "Kashmir" to be the "Princely state" then we can not get anywhere with this topic, since different regions of the state have very different "Islamic History". Also it makes no sense to cover the topic that way. Those non-Kashmiri Muslim inhabited regions should either have their own pages or it should be a part within their parent pages. The current information on this page serves no purpose and i suggest its complete removal. Hi Wasiq, I support the idea. However, once you start writing content using reliable sources, e.g., Baloch & Rafiqi, The Region of Sind, Baluchistan, Multan and Kashmir (1998), I think the problem will be solved automatically. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 15:39, 24 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
