Lake-like expanse? Not really; although the river has been deepened and possibly widened a little, I don't think anyone who had actually seen this area of the river for themselves would ever compare it to a lake. Can the term public beach be used when an entrance fee must be paid? I've not made any changes as I'm unsure on the exact meaning of 'lake-like expanse' and 'public beach' - if others want to consider and edit as necessary or advise, it'd be great. 88.204.215.149 (talk) 20:26, 24 June 2009 (UTC) Chris Merriman 25/06/2009[reply]

I'm not sure what was meant by "lake-like" either, I'd say feel free to change it. "public" usually means government owned, not necessarily free. I think if it's a city owned beach calling it "public" would still be appropriate even if they charge a fee - though 'municipal beach' would be an even more exact term if that's the case. Removed lake-like, and finally created an account for myself. AntiSceptic (talk) 21:28, 26 June 2009 (UTC) AntiSceptic / Chris Merriman 27/06/2009 03:27[reply]
