I wonder... would it be original research to link "impending threat against Gallifrey" or "inevitable fall" to Time War (Doctor Who)? I mean, in the metafictional sense it seems bloody obvious that that's what Alan Barnes was referring to when he wrote that plot point, but since Big Finish's license forbids them from using aspects of the new series, they probably can't admit that.
