The figure 0.5 V/nm seems to be very small, but recalculated it becomes 500 million volts per meter. This is astronomously high: the breakdown voltage of transformer oil is about 20 MV/m (200 kV/cm) and that of pure air only 30 kV/cm. Probably this value of 0.5 V/m is only applicable on nano scales. It does not correspond to the value given under medical practice: 1500 volts/cm which is much less than breakdown in air. 84.128.72.215 (talk) 21:58, 11 June 2016 (UTC) Dieter May 11 June 2016[reply]
