Excellent work on the page, just to note that while you have the correct FF and FG figures of nine each in the largest party section, the spreadsheet has to be updated above, along with the SF figure of 5.

Independents in the results table

Hello everyone! So, I don't want to make broad changes without checking first, but the first results table shows that independent candidates were 3rd place in terms of seats, yet they are at the bottom of the table behind all the organized parties. Shouldn't they be higher up on the table, behind FF and FG and ahead of SF? Your thoughts would be helpful, thanks! Bkissin (talk) 20:20, 23 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose Pointless disambiguation – I don't see how anyone not in need of a brain transplant could possibly think "Irish local elections" applies to Northern Ireland, primarily because it doesn't have the word "Northern" in front of it. This isn't the only year local elections were held in both countries either. The naming guideline is quite clear that the demonym should be used (i.e. Irish) and in this case the demonyms for the two countries are quite different. On the other hand, I would be entirely supportive of moving the other article to Northern Irish local elections, 2014, as the current title is in violation of the naming guideline. Support - normally I wouldn't oppose 'Irish' being used to describe events that only occurred in one part of Ireland. However, when those events are happening in both parts of the country but the 'Irish' title is then used to refer to only one part, that's just way too misleading to allow. Oppose - I don't think only this one article should be changed, although I'm open to a broader discussion of when "Irish"/"Ireland" is appropriate for Republic-specific articles and when it's not. 2014 is the only year in which Category:Council elections in Northern Ireland clashes with Category:Council elections in the Republic of Ireland, but Category:General elections in the Republic of Ireland clashes with Category:General elections to the Parliament of Northern Ireland in 1933, 1938, 1965 and 1969. Would we change only the clashing years, or all of them to keep a standard format (which helps with templates)? jnestorius^(talk) 14:28, 20 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
