San Diego
[edit]I deleted the portion about Mrs. Blitch moving to San Diego, as most sources I found stated she was simply visiting there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.184.72.247 (talk) 00:52, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
- I have a source that says she moved there to be near her daughter: http://history.house.gov/People/Detail/9501 I may add that and revise Rtbhive (talk) 20:10, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
Incorrect information?
[edit]The former lede for this article was ambiguously written, stating that Blitch was the first woman to successfully run for office from Georgia, which was not cited, and I cannot find sources that validate it. I changed the lede to emphasize her (also very impressive) status as the fourth woman to hold office in US Congress. If anyone has a good source for her being the first woman to hold state office in Georgia, please add and revise the lede. (talk) 19:15, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
- She also campaigned for Jimmy Carter in 1976, so I would assume she didn't remain a Republican for very long. 2603:7082:DA00:3:1488:28A4:8E80:91FB (talk) 15:29, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
