The award of the Iraq medal has come to an end, as of 22 May 2011. The official answer from the MOD Medal Office: Thank you for your email regarding the Iraq Medal. I have spoken to the Officer in Charge of the Medal Office who has advised me that qualifying has now come to an end and as such the medal will no longer been issued. Regards.
