Some proposed changes

[edit]

Hi there, I would like to request an update to the page about iomart please because the company has a new CEO and the information currently on the page is not up to date.

iomart's new Chief Executive Officer is Reece Donovan. Citations as follows - https://www.sharesmagazine.co.uk/news/market/7077960/Iomarts-COO-Reece-Donovan-to-step-into-CEO-role-as-Angus-MacSween-set-to-retire and https://www.heraldscotland.com/business_hq/18789091.new-broom-iomart-looks-tweaks-future-growth/

The founder of iomart Angus MacSween remains on the board as a non-executive director - https://docs.iomart.com/investors/board-committees-advisors/

Please replace the first four paragraphs with the following text: iomart Group plc is a UK managed cloud computing company headquartered in Glasgow, Scotland. The company provides managed services from data centres and offices across the United Kingdom including London, Maidenhead, Manchester, Glasgow, Gosport, Leicester, Nottingham and York. (Citation - https://www.iomart.com/about-us/data-centres/uk/) iomart became a publicly listed company in 2000 and is listed under the symbol IOM on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange. (Citation https://www.londonstockexchange.com/stock/IOM/iomart-group-plc/company-page?lang=en)

There is no need for the following: iomart offered the first consumer broadband connection in the United Kingdom, and was the first broadband reseller through its Madasafish brand. Headquartered in Glasgow, iomart operated a call centre in Stornoway which today is still operating and owned by Talk Talk. The company was floated on the London Stock Exchange's Alternative Investment Market AIM in 2000. As of September 2015, iomart owns and manages data centres in eight locations. iomart Group operates a number of different brands including Melbourne Server Hosting[1] which serves the SME market, Backup Technology[2] which provides cloud backup, disaster recovery and business continuity, as well as Easyspace, RapidSwitch and Redstation.

Under the history section it should explain that Bill Dobbie resigned and Angus MacSween then ran the business as CEO until 2020, updating this paragraph as follows: In 2002 the Telco businesses were sold for £2 million to Centrica and in 2003 the group acquired Web Genie Internet Ltd[7] for £437 thousand. Bill Dobbie resigned in 2003 and Angus MacSween led the company into its next phase of growth. (Citation - https://www.iomart.com/pdf/financial/iomart_annual_report_yr310304.pdf)

Under Promotional campaigns the last two sentences should read as follows: iomart donated tablet devices to forest rangers working for Rainforest Concern in Ecuador.[17] iomart also ran a campaign called "Host Your Kit" in which youth sports teams could win a new kit provided by iomart. [18] The company hosted a conference for high school pupils in Glasgow at which former Team GB basketball player Kieron Achara educated them on social media best practice (Citation - https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/real-life/glasgow-rocks-basketball-star-kieron-5134337)

As you will see from the iomart website www.iomart.com the products and services described on the page are not accurate. They should either be listed as per the following text or the section should be removed completely: Colocation, connectivity, data protection, managed security, private cloud, hybrid cloud, multi-cloud, managed Azure, virtual desktop infrastructure, professional services.

On the right hand side box out could we add in before Traded as: Type: Public

Then under Founder please add: Key people: CEO: Reece Donovan CFO: Scott Cunningham (Citation - https://www.marketwatch.com/investing/stock/iom/company-profile?countrycode=uk&pid=343041)

Headquarters should be updated to the correct address: Lister Pavilion, Kelvin Campus, West of Scotland Science Park, Glasgow, Scotland.

Products should be updated to: Managed cloud services

Number of employees should be updated to: 400+

I have no connection to Iomart. I have provided my feedback/suggestions inset above. CorporateM (Talk) 21:33, 14 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
