French version of the article
[edit]I just noticed that the French version of this article has amazing quantity of content and quality. A good way of expanding would be translating from it — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.66.196.163 (talk) 03:17, 11 January 2013 (UTC)
The correct term for this episode is either The Battle of Quiberon 1795 or The Quiberon Expedition
[edit]British historians don't call this episode the "Invasion of France". It is known as the Battle of Quiberon 1795 or the Quiberon Expedition. It is strange to use this term in English and slightly inaccurate. It wasn't an invasion as it was led by French emigres. Can one invade ones own country? It is strange and unhistorical to call this episode an invasion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jimbo2014 (talk • contribs) 00:32, 12 September 2013 (UTC)

Proposed merge of Order of battle in the Invasion of France (1795) into Invasion of France (1795)
[edit]Per WP:NOPAGE, this list needs more context to be encyclopedic, and I don't see a good reason to have this forked from the main page. There's currently no navigational value to this list. voorts (talk/contributions) 23:45, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
- NO MERGE. I agree with Voorts, that this list has no context, and would contribute nothing to the understanding of the "Invasion of France". I would also suggest that an old request to change the title of this article be reconsidered. "Quiberon" should be somewhere in the title. Vicedomino (talk) 09:36, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- Closing, with no merge, given the uncontested objection and no support. Klbrain (talk) 15:17, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
