Nathan Hale
[edit]Nathan Hale was a captain during the Revolutionary War and is considered the first American spy. Why no mention of him in this article? -- scskowron 11:23, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
Privateering
[edit]The use of privateers was a common form of conventional naval warfare during the period, not an intelligence operation. Why is it part of this article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.81.129.193 (talk) 16:57, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
Perspective
[edit]I doubt the US was the only combatant in the war that engaged in intelligence and covert operations. Magic♪piano 02:16, 29 March 2016 (UTC)
