Head of Institute
[edit]According to the institute's web-site (http://vir.nw.ru/history/heads.htm), Vavilov was Head from 1920 to 1940, not 1936.
(of course, they might have fudged it a bit, given the situation ...) 101.117.68.82 (talk) 11:41, 1 July 2014 (UTC)
Number of starved botanists
[edit]The first cited source (Washington Post) states that nine botanists died, while the article later claims 28 deaths, citing sun-sentinel.com, which is unfortunately geo-blocked for me. Meanwhile, the article Pavlovsk_Experimental_Station states that twelve starved. 28 seems suspicious as it's also the duration of the siege (28 months), so there might be a misunderstanding involved somewhere.
