Merge seems appropriate

[edit]

Even if additional notable information on the Institute of Oriental Languages can be furnished for the article, given that the organization was renamed in 1972 to the Institute of Asian and African Countries it seems appropriate to combine the two articles as there was presumably some continuity in activities/foci. This seems to be relatively common in the case of organizations with namechanges, barring examples where the new iterations are substantially different. Examples that come to mind are articles on academic insititutions that have changed their name, such as University of California, Berkeley and Michigan State University. The Institute of Asian and African Countries could include a new section focused on the original iteration of the organization. I'm still new and learning - feel free to let me know if I'm wrong.
