Hi I'm not sure about Vitculer Talk's assertion that there was a railway station at Ticknall, I am pretty certain that Melbourne or Chellaston would have been the nearest stations and even if Chellaston still had a station in 1935. There was a tramway in Ticknall to service the quarries but I don't think there was a railway, which company owned it? Biofuelsimon 22:57, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
