@Informationofficers: Thank you for acknowledging my message. This page merely defines this position and does not indicate with independent reliable sources how this position is notable. The sources given seem affiliated with government agencies that control these positions. I would also ask you if you represent a group of information officers(either a specific group or generally); if so you will need to change your username, please see your user talk page. 331dot (talk) 13:31, 25 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@331dot: The citations under external links are not government but private companies. Possibly this is the worng place for the citations. The role of information officer is generally misunderstood. Its new and will grow to millions in number. The purpose of the entry is to promote a common understanding. While there are some government references, they are too brief to be of help much. I chose "Informationofficers" name because the first I tried was taken. I have looked to see where I can change it but was unsuccessful. Generally the names I choose help me remember my loginID. I have many, for security purposes I try to keep them unique.

Here is another reference that mentions "information officer": http://altech.fin.ltc.co.za/altron/iar2015/governance/social-ethics.asp

In my post on your user talk page, there is a link that will take you to where you can change your name. On this page, click the word 'talk' next to your username, then when you get there click the words "this form". Regarding this page, the two entries under 'References' are both government entities I think (one seems to be the South Africa Justice Department and the other the European Union). You have links under 'External links" but I'm not clear on what they are citing in the article- they seem to just be more information about what this is and how someone can be trained in it. The article itself must do more than merely define what this is as Wikipedia is not a dictionary, but indicate why this merits inclusion in this encyclopedia. 331dot (talk) 13:53, 25 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@331dot: Name change request has been submitted. The content of this entry will be developed once its listing gets settled. Somewhere I read start small.
