I'm an anonymous user who cites the use of this word by th United Nations. I don't want to remove the notice seeking better sources as anonymous but I think the notice should be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.40.193.119 (talk) 17:16, 3 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I have to agree with the above. There is a lot of mostly health related information using the term "infodemic", which is mainly related to COVID-19, natually. And this is in legitimate publications. (AbrewaAccraLady (talk) 13:40, 24 February 2021 (UTC))[reply]
I have added a few sources. Importantly, a UN report and a peer-reviewed journal both use the term "Infodemic" (The peer-reviewed journal uses it in the title). I am removing the notice based on these two sources.

User:JPxG has added a notability tag to the article. A quick search of the term "infodemic" on Google Scholar returns multiple hits to peer-reviewed journals using the word "infodemic" in the title. The United Nation and World Health Organization both have used the term. I added a few sources in July, and I think the notice is unwarranted. How many additional journal articles are necessary to meet the definition of "notable?" GeogSage (talk) 04:16, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
As there has not been a reply I am removing the notability tag. If anyone wants to place the tag on the article again, please discuss on the talk page, as this has been discussed here. GeogSage (⚔Chat?⚔) 11:14, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I just added this: The Aspen Institute even started their misinformation project before the pandemic: [6]|url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRX1GRSxk-M&t=130s </ref> But something is wrong with the format. Please correct it. I do not know how.Mocvd (talk)
