Indianismo not the same as indigenismo
[edit]Indianismo and Indigenismo were two separate literary movements. The former idealized the indigenous people of the Western hemisphere, while the latter attempted to portray their lives more realistically, seeing them as people.--Rockero 04:44, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, completely agree, insofar as the terms relate to works of literary fiction and perhaps also the visual arts. However, the terms are also probably inseparable from political and social movements. Certainly, these to related but distinct terms need to be in separate articles; I wonder whether to combine or separate again the the literary/artistic movements from the political/social ones.--cjllw ʘ TALK 00:32, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
