Driving

[edit]

Wouldn't this drive people away instead? Ttenchantr (talk) 18:57, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Personally, as I like Garfield, it's more likely to attract me. I'll try to take pictures someday.--Bedford Pray 20:31, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removed reference

[edit]

I just removed a reference from the article since it opened a malicious popup and appeared as though it might have been attempting to download something to my computer. Even it wasn't, it's not the sort of site we should be sending people to. The url was http://sweetserlions.ifastnet.com/projects.php. Any chance of a benign replacement? In fact, looking at the other references (I came here to verify a submitted DYK hook), I notice that two of them give 404s ([1], [2]) and a third is a personal blog ([3]). One named after an awesome poem admittedly, but still a self-published source. Olaf Davis | Talk 22:44, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Many references are from the locally published newspaper and I suspect they eventually remove their on line versions of their articles. The articles would still be available in hard copy (e.g., at the local library). Bill Cupp (talk) 09:23, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The photos in this article have been taken by me (Bill Cupp). While the original artwork to create the statues has been donated by the comic creator to the municipalities involved, there is doubt whether that fully places the artwork in the public domain or not. Consequently, I have tried filing "fair use" claim certificates and posted the images on the U.S. based servers to ensure coverage of U.S. Copyright Law. Please do not move the images to Wikimedia Commons. Please do not "galleryize" them or do anything which might cause a bot to later pick them up and move them to Wikimedia Commons. Thank you! Many of the sources in the reflist are dead links. If anyone could update that? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tigerwarfair (talkcontribs) 05:43, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
