Krypton lamp
[edit]The intro section states that Brody's lamp was a fluorescent lamp but I believe that is not true. In that age, the main problem was the efficiency of the incandescent light bulbs. The krypton filling in one of those extended the life expectancy of the tungsten filament in the high temperature environment (more so, than the previously used nitrogen-argon mixture). Am I completely misguided or is the article really wrong at this point?
his fate
[edit]"the immunity promised by the factory to him could not save his life." -- I don't know the truth; but in the Hungarian version it says that he could have been saved, but not his family, and he chose to go with his family into death. Zoltan Bay in Tungsram did actually save some of his engineers from deportation. Hoemaco (talk) 09:59, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
- That's not the worst factual mistake of this article. The whole "The krypton lamp" section (which is what made Brody notable) is a mess of factual errors and peacock language. Why would the Germans destroy their ally's factory in 1942? etc. Retired electrician (talk) 10:32, 2 September 2013 (UTC)
