Iluppaipattu Neelakandeswarar Temple is one of the shrines of the 275 Paadal Petra Sthalams - Shiva Sthalams glorified in the early medieval Tevaram poems. As some of the Paadal Petra Sthalams in this series have been left out, I started writing them. I visited this temple on 19th July 2015.I will try to improve the article whenever I get additional materials. Clarification on references: Thiruneelakandeswarar and Padikarai Nathar. Consort Amirthavalli, Glorified by NayanarTirugnanasambandar, Pazhamanni Padikarai (Please refer: "Sri Neelakandeswarar temple". Dinamalar.) Iluppaipattu, Tirumannippadikkarai. (Please refer: "Neelakandeswarar Temple, Tirumannippadikkarai". Shiva Temples of Tamilnadu, Paadal Petra Sivasthalangal). Regards. --B Jambulingam (talk) 15:27, 24 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
