Spelling and grammar update
[edit]Hi Folks
This is my first ever edit, so I hope I'm doing this right.
- I've checked this page for spelling and grammar. I added the article 'a' in a few places.
- I also added a hypen in two places to make the meaning more clear (Freedom Party-led) - to signal that 'led' is not used as a verb.
- There's one section I think could be phrased a bit better, but I'm entirely confident I know what is meant so I don't want to make any changes right now. The bit in question is 'all the TULF legislators [...] forfeited their seats in Parliament for refusing to swear an oath' - I'm a little unclear whether they actively chose to forfeit or were made to because they refused. Could anyone clarify?
Once that is resolved I think the Maintenance template notice can be removed.
All the best! Dinosaur6362 (talk) 13:32, 18 August 2020 (UTC)
Incorrect Translation of அரசு (pronounced Arasu)
[edit]Copy pasta from my edit notes.
The meaning of அரசு is "Kingdom" or "Royal" and translating the name without this included is disingenuous at best and manipulative at worst. Even this wiki page about a movie with the same name has done a proper translation : https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Arasu_(2003_film) or https://ta.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E0%AE%85%E0%AE%B0%E0%AE%9A%E0%AF%81_(2003_%E0%AE%A4%E0%AE%BF%E0%AE%B0%E0%AF%88%E0%AE%AA%E0%AF%8D%E0%AE%AA%E0%AE%9F%E0%AE%AE%E0%AF%8D). I have rectified this error.
I ask that user @Vif12vf not revert my changes until you can prove that I have made an error in translating my native tongue to English.
The meaning is very clear even on official Tamil dictionaries https://agarathi.com/word/%e0%ae%85%e0%ae%b0%e0%ae%9a%e0%af%81 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Princewizdom (talk • contribs) 09:43, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
