NY Philharmonic

[edit]

In this article it is said, thשt Waghalter was music director of the NY Philharmonic Orchstra in the years 1924-1926, but in the Philharmonic article he is not mentioned at all between the two conductors before and after him. I just put his article in the He wikipedia and I want to be sure of the facts. Thanks,S. Kedem, he Wikipedia.

The article states that Waghalter was the director of the New York State Symphony orchestra. As reported in the NY Times of December 31, 1924, Waghalter was appointed to this post upon the sudden resignation of Joseph Stransky. Wladyslaw1885 (talk) 15:42, 8 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've just verified that the NYT article from 31 December 1924 names Waghalter as Stransky's successor. I'm removing the "citations needed" tag. -Thucydides411 (talk) 22:30, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Tone, NPOV

[edit]

Especially regarding later years etc., I suggest there are some serious issues here ... (yes, I think very well of the Waghalter I've seen in score- but what's written here goes a long way from the "here's the facts, make up your own mind" ideal of the NPOV policies.)
