Nationality

It is really simple: Scotts are Nation, but subjects of the British Empire. Therefore There are only British. Lovemankind83 (talk) 18:51, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If only it were that simple. There have been thousands of arguments along these lines and generally accepted practice is that either "British" or "English / Scottish / Welsh / Northern Irish" is acceptable, providing sufficient connection exists, which it does in this case. Perhaps head into a Glasgow/Belfast pub and tell them, "It's really simple. You're all British." It's only an essay, but Wikipedia:Nationality of people from the United Kingdom is a helpful guide.
