Please eliminate sentence referring to Ida E. Lewis as the first female editor and chief of the Crisis Magazine in 1998. Former Detroit News reporter, Denise Crittendon, was appointed editor and chief of the NAACP's Crisis Magazine in 1994. Boston University Today

In March of 2024, Boston University Today, which serves a primary source for the entry on Ida E Lewis, retract4ed the statement that she was the first woman editor of the NAACP's The Crisis Magazine. That statement is an error which has now been corrected. Denise Crittendon became the first woman editor The Crisis Magazine in 1994, four years prior to Ida E.
