Inconsistencies
[edit]There appear to be several inconsistencies within the article, including:
- Infobox says callsign is "FlyHello", article says "FlyStar".
- Infobox says fleet size is 4, article says 2.
- Image shows an MD-80 as an example aircraft; Fleet section only lists 737s.
- Article is unclear on exactly who is presently providing the contract service for the airline, and the sentence in the History section ending in "and it is understood that Astraeus could have supplied Iceland Express with Boeing 757-200 aircraft to start flights from Iceland to New York and Boston in spring 2007" is unclear as to past/present tense and meaning. Unfortunately the citation is to an offline source and can't easily be consulted.
Could an editor with greater familiarity with this airline please address these concerns? Thanks, MCB (talk) 07:48, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
Infobox
[edit]I removed the callsign and codes from the infobox since Iceland Express doesn't have any (it's not an airline per se)... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.220.106.160 (talk • contribs)
- I added them back, because Iceland Express still operates in Iceland Express livery and colors, however their radio callsign is still AEU and Fly Star. They aren't a "real airline" as they only wet lease, but they still are an airline and I think it is important people see that their callsign is exactly the same as Astraeus since AEU flies their routes. --Girdi (talk) 15:13, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
- Iceland Express is not an airline since it does not have an AOC. It would be best classified as a travel agency. It would be more appropriate to write about the ICAO and callsign its wet-lessor uses as a note in the article. Iceland Express itself does not have either thing as it is not an airline.
