- The first male female duo to win Eurovision since 1963, the first collaboration between a male and a female soloist to win the contest, and the first Azerbaijanis to win it, and probably the best known Azerbaijanis living.
- The first British boy-band to go straight to number 1 in the USA with their debut album, repeating it with the second, which topped the majority of the world's charts.
- The singer who managed the longest unimpeded spell in the UK albums chart top 10.
- The first British girlband to have their album go straight into the top 5 in the US albums chart in its first week, and the first by any girlgroup since 2006.
- The second Belgium Eurovision entry to qualify for the final since 2004, in spite of being completely written off,
