Tommy Bond as Owl Jolson?

[edit]

I don't believe Owl Jolson was voiced by Tommy Bond. This piece of likely misinformation has been passed around the internet, including IMDb; but I don't think it has come from any published source. I think someone noticed that Owl Jolson's bad singing resembled Tommy Bond's performance of "Friends, Lovers No More" in the Little Rascals short, "Mush and Milk" (1933) and made a false assumption. Owl Jolson's bad singing may resemble (slightly) Tommy Bond's bad singing. But Owl's good singing and his speaking voice sound nothing at all like Tommy Bond. I don't think Bond did any of the singing or speaking for this character. —Preceding unsigned comment added by JustinSpurlin (talkcontribs) 07:22, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Censorship?

[edit]

The section titled "Censorship" is clearly not censorship. Maybe it could be re-titled "Edited Version" or something of the like?— Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.58.27.73 (talkcontribs) 16:38, 23 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Done, this does not appear to have been censorship; I can't find anything obviously offensive in the cartoon to a modern audience. The same cannot be said of the Censored Eleven and others, which have run into political correctness issues with a modern audience.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 18:19, 23 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
