Lead

  • was first released on August 28, 2009 through Sony Music in Europe, August 31, 2009 through Arista Records in the U.S. -> A synonym is needed.

  • including top-twenty U.S. R&B chart hit -> Top ten is a hit, top 20 not at all.

  • hit, title song "I Look to You" -> hit, the title song and "title song" should be wikilinked.

  • It has spawned 'two official singles ... which is named after the album's third international single. -> How many singles has the album, two or three?

It was re-worded, but still the same problem. Maybe could be re-weorded to "A promotional single, "Nothing But Love", was only released...

  • inspired the Nothing But Love World Tour which... -> does not need to be italized.

Really, does not need to be italicized

  • the U.S. In the UK, -> the United States In the United Kingdom

Background

  • I Look to You had first been conceived in 2006 and production began fully in 2007 as stated by Houston herself at her Los Angeles album listening party in 2009 -> I don't know you, but this sounds awkward maybe I Look to You had first been conceived in 2006 and the production began in 2007, as said Houston in Los Angeles in 2009.

  • Antonio Banderas and Sylvester Stallone -> full stop missing.

  • Additionally she told press -> Additionally, she told to the press

Music

A typo (fekt)

  • Right from the start, it displays Houston's voice over a club-friendly beat that blends a rough-riding thump with R&B -> Since the words "Right from the start" I knew that this was original research, this need to be reworded.

  • In the Summer 2009 edition of Rap-Up magazine R&B singer-come-producer, Akon -> singer-come-producer? / ...of Rap-Up magazine, R&B singer Akon spoke...

  • The entire section has original research.

Release and promotion

  • (produced and demo by Johntá Austin) -> , produced by Johntá Austin,

  • listening party with Clive Davis -> listening party with Davis

  • were Alicia Keys, Kaseem "Swizz Beatz" Dean -> Keys, Swizz Beatz... they were aleady mentioned.

  • written by Keys and produced by Swizz Beatz -> Déjà vu?

  • Again the album was played almost in its entirely receiving a standing ovation -> original research?

  • Like "Music section" I see a lot of original research

Singles

  • The single peaked at #5 -> The single peaked at number five

  • The single peaked at #5 giving Houston her first Top 5 single since "My Love Is Your Love" in 1999. -> source?

  • World tour -> Wrong section. this should be in the "Promotion section"

Commercial success

  • The album is Houston's fourth number 1 album overall -> The album is Houston's fourth number one album overall.

Further comments

[edit]
  • Lead
WP:ALT -> Personally, "Whitney Houston" written in the alternative caption text, is too specific, maybe "an afro-american woman" or "a woman with wavy hair" or something like that, of course I won't fail the article for this comment. TbhotchTalk C. 02:09, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've re-reviewed the article, those are new problems. TbhotchTalk C. 02:09, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have done half of these. Aim to do the rest tomorrow and day after. Regards, Lil-unique1 (talk) 15:49, 26 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am failing the article, I'd gave it a final date (28 June), and it is today. If you feel this is in error, you may request a Good article reassessment or a re-nomination. TbhotchTalk C. 19:06, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why is there a time limit on this process? If Lil-unique1 finishes this up 4 hours from now, why can't it be a GA? Does the "G" spoil if it's not put back in the refrigerator right away?
And anyway, it's still the 28th as I write this, an hour after you rang the terminal buzzer, so the deadline you picked (from where?) hasn't even passed yet. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 21:07, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
As I said before If you feel this is in error, you may request a Good article reassessment or a re-nomination. I'd been waiting 3 weeks and Lil is busy with another article. TbhotchTalk C. 22:08, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sheesh! Sorry if i cant be on wikipedia as much as I'd like to. I didn't realise GA's were specifically time-restrained. It takes time to search for appropriate sources and to fix deadlinks. But nevermind... i'll work on it in my leisure and nominate when I feel that I've done all I can that way I don't have to feel pressured to work towards a deadline.
