Hey again! I'm attempting to clear up the GA backlog to try and get faster reviews. Your articles tend to be easy so I'll do a quick review of this --VersaceSpace 🌃 05:54, 7 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Lead and infobox

[edit]
  • Lead is good, but it's irking me that there's only one paragraph. Never in my life have I seen a GA with a one-para-lead.
  • Two paragraphs sounds good to me. Let me know if you have any inputs about the paragraph lengths.
  • Isn't the 'released' parameter in that infobox usually reserved for singles?
  • If I'm reading correctly, Template:Infobox song#released does not discourage release dates for album tracks, but suggests using "the date that it became widely available to the public" which in the case of "I Drink Wine" is 30's release date.
  • Add alt text for the photo
  • Done.
  • No genre?
  • In terms of genres, we have "strong gospel undertones" from Pitchfork, "gospel-inspired sound" from The Line of Best Fit, "gospel influences" from NME, and "tak[es] sweet inspiration from vintage gospel" from Rolling Stone. These all read as influences to me and not the main genre for the infobox, unfortunately.

Background

[edit]
  • I feel like the first paragraph could use a trim. The father and conversations stuff seems fit for the album article, but its too much background for this one.
  • Removed the father bit but the conversations are relevant here as one of the recordings is included in the song.
  • "She viewed the song" --> "She viewed 'I Drink Wine'" since you just mentioned three other songs in the sentence prior.
  • Done.

Composition

[edit]
  • Je n'aime pas all the blue links next to each other (specifically line 2).
  • I unlinked the more basic instruments and changed the order so there are no blue links in-a-row.

Critical reception

[edit]
  • "thought she successfully" --> "thought Adele successfully"
  • Changed.

Commercial performance

[edit]
  • the Global 200 placement should be here.
  • Added.
