Article length

[edit]

This article seems so under the normal length of what a description for an iPhone should be.

Include extensive technical specifications like they do in the iPhone 4 page, seems like it's just left out. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.104.93.170 (talk) 08:33, 17 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Improved?

[edit]

I don't know if the article I made for this is better or not. Please let me know :)

Some of the things I need help with

  • Filling the super huge gap between the Release information and the Design information... I need some more information between that gap, more information in the Edit Article thing and as to why I made that huge gap.

I've added a manual break in the gap so its cleaner. The article is better, but still C class. -- Eraserhead1 <talk> 18:53, 1 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've improved it a lot, took a lot of time to research the information especially for the reviews. I really need some key points as to how I can get it to a B class article Justinxtreme (talk) 06:27, 16 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Timeline of iPhone models

[edit]

I'm not sure if it's just me, but in the image in the section 'Timeline of iPhone models', I found it extremely difficult to differentiate between the different shades of green. Maybe this could be improved somehow? Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.144.90.236 (talk) 16:08, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

iPhone 3GS doesn't have a gyroscope as stated

[edit]

There's a citation on this article that notes that the 4 was the first one to have it and that the 3GS didn't. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.164.94.99 (talk) 04:21, 20 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

iPhone 3G S

[edit]

In its early days, people called this phone the iPhone 3G S, but more recently people are calling it iPhone 3GS. Why is this? --109.156.237.144 (talk) 13:16, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What's the difference? Numbermaniac - T- C 02:11, 11 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Only the space, so its more written than spoken. --109.156.237.144 (talk) 15:41, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think just 3GS should suffice. Numbermaniac - T- C 00:38, 13 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Laundry list

[edit]
The iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 5, iPod touch (5th generation), iPad (4th generation) and iPad mini (1st generation) are the only iOS devices to support 4 major versions of iOS, while the iPhone 4s, iPad (3rd generation) has support to 5 major iOS releases and the iPad 2 has up to 6 major iOS releases.

I believe this is unnecessary verbiage. I replaced it by merely saying that it was the "first" iOS device to get four major OS updates. It's clear from here on out that almost all modern, post-2009 introductions, would be getting 4-6 updates, so just saying it was the first is concise. hbdragon88 (talk) 09:19, 26 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Merge with iPhone 3G?

[edit]

The iPhone 3G and 3GS look identical, have similar names and a major selling point of both was the fact that they sold with 3G. So why not merge them into a single article that covers both the phones?
