Naming
This article is what pops up when you search for IgE.(the antibody) This article should be renamed and "ige" pointed to the immunoglobulin article. This is barely keepable as is. ¬¬¬¬Ludolud —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ludolud (talk • contribs) 16:25, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Allakhazam
Could someone point out that "Allakhazam" refers to the company which runs Allakhazam.com, and not "Allakhazam"(Jeff Moyer), owner and poster on said site?— Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.254.231.52 (talk • contribs) 02:36, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
After keep vote
I agree with the decision to keep, but I do think the article as it stood at the time was the work of an IGE-friendly party. There is now info about why IGE is so controversial, which was barely mentioned before. Beware of IGE-friendly reverts. Tale 09:21, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
Company Template?
Hey I was just wondering why Infobox_Company wasn't used on this page? I really like these info boxes since it gives a quick "at a glance" information about the company. Is there a reason for no infobox (IE IGE doesnt like their logo up there, etc...) Thanks! Xaios 07:18, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
Marketing
This is obviously an entry made by IGE themselves and should such be considered marketing/biased "information" and removed.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.106.207.138 (talk • contribs) 21:44, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
Quality Concerns
Is this just ripped off of IGE's site? It seems fairly unbalanced. 11:05, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
Agreed, added POV tag to top. --130.76.32.23 16:49, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

Not a chance that the sexual harassment allegations should remain, linking to a source that makes no reference whatsoever to sexual harassment allegations against the person mentioned in this article. It also needs grammatical cleanup, though PoV issues appear to have been resolved.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.53.36.51 (talk • contribs) 18:00, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
Redirected
Seeing as how there's virtually no content left after the last round of edits I set it to redirect to RMT. 130.76.32.15 16:50, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
Disambig and merge to the full name article
There is a article named Internet Gaming Entertainment, that is, for some time, almost empty.
I am going to create a disambig page here, and move the content to the full name article.
The WP:NAME covers this topic, or more specific WP:NCA.
Maybe, we can add a REDIRECT here, and keep all the page as it is in full article name. Antonio Carlos Porto 01:40, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

New chapter in alla + IGE story: Moyer now claims RPG holdings "never owned" the allakhazam.com site, a diff company was the buyer..
Yes John Maffei is my boss at Affinity Media. It is his hiring last fall that has driven things in the right direction here and gotten us the resources we have needed to start expanding again. I don't know about that SEC link. I suspect that is a different company, but I can't say for sure. We were never owned by RPG Holdings and the sale took place in February, 2006, not November 2005. Basically, as I stated before, everything in that Azor artical of which I have personal knowledge is wrong, but hey it was published on the internet on a site nobody has ever heard of, so it must be accurate. Certainly, just about every link you can find detailing the sale, including all the wiki's I have seen, can trace their "facts" back to that single article, so I wouldn't trust any of them. The sale of IGE means just that. A month ago, IGE was owned by Affinity Media who also owns us. Now, IGE is owned by Jon Yantis, who, I believe, was one of the original founders of IGE but had sold off his share years ago. Beyond the fact that Affinity sold IGE to Yantis, I have no knowledge of the terms of the sale. Personally, I don't care. I like that we are no longer part of the same company just because that seems to make many of our members happy, and it may drive off the haters who post about us in other forums, but other than that it has no actual impact upon the running of our network. To me, all of this IGE stuff, including this part, is much ado about nothing.
Now, the interesting thing is, when the whole mess started and people were leaving the foruims at his site over it, he was saying "IGE didn't buy us. The company that owns them, RPG Holdings Inc. did."
He's removed a sticky in which his own post was "We are now owned by RPG Holdings Inc. They own a bunch of stuff, including IGE." Simular woprded statements by him still exist in old threads, but without saying RPG Holdings.
I have pointed everyone discussing this issue to this thread so that we will have a single place to answer the questions of all the communities we serve. Please post your questions or comments here and we will try to answer them as best as we can. Since I anticipate that this thread will get pretty long, I will try to move anything important to the top to make it easier for you.
It wasn't thread consolidation - it was already ONE thread. It was he didn't like how the convorsation turned out in the other thread (the removed sticky) and nuked it, trying to start over.
Jeff Moyer (alla founder) has removed all admin made referances to rpg holdings from the forums. If, as he now claims, RPG Holding was never the company, he'd have disputed that when it was 1st said in THIS thread: http://www.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=3;mid=114668646932202500;page=6
A quick google search shows multiple links varifying the RPG Holdings to Alla connection (puplic financial wallstreet looking things in there 2 - if thats not proof I dunno what is) as well as the RPG Holdings to IGE connection. And several quotes of alla himself (jeffs posting ID) in those nuked posts and threads.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.247.251.136 (talk • contribs) 09:41, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
Why no description of their buisiness practices?
This about sums up what they do:
Some guy on slashdot:
Everyone hates the farmers as players because they're jerks in game. But they have a massively stabilizing influence on the economy of the world. They increase the size of the overall economy for the shard by maintaining a constant flow of gold and drops into the system, which is deflationary. The gold that other players buy from IGE and others gets dumped into the economy in lots for epic items, and trickles down to regular players selling hot drops; or is simply recirculated through the farmers, who are making more blue and purple drops available on auction than would otherwise be available (again, deflationary); or goes into a money sink like an epic mount which removes it from the game.
The problem isn't that the farmers exist, it's that they're assholes. If they were smart, they'd be good, co-operative players, exerting a net benefit on their chosen shard.
Some guy on allakhazam: its not the rmt that cause a problem...its not the companies...its the gil BUYERS. plain and simple
NO. Its the entire rmt "industry" that should not exist. Its the Chinese economic system that creates sweat shop shoe factories and makes farming gil a way way better job than making shoes. AND its the lazy ass gamer with a credit card. All of those things.Say you are a game developer a few years ago. This MMO thing is fairly new but hey, subscription based content looks like really good money. You make an MMORPG. Along comes a company with no product whatsoever. Wait a min? how do they make money then? Buy "borrowing" part of yours. Namely the currency and items in your game. Ignoring your ToS designed to keep the game fair for all players. Because its not a game for them its a job. You later find out about many exploits, even some employees of YOUR online service making a quick buck by creating items to sell on ebay. You game goes to hell because the players see how unfair it all was and bury you under bad press before you can fix it all.
A few years later even after multiple fixes and the dupe hacks cleared out, theres still so much stuff on ebay you give up.
if an origin employee is reading, sucks to be you >.>
Ok skip ahead, everyone knows about what "rmt" means now. Theres 2 ways you can make your game: make its so gaining currency/items isn't much of a hassle and players don't bump into the rmt farmers, generating the "it doesn't matter they don't bother me" attitude (world of Warcraft) or try to keep patching the hell out of everything to give the RMT (and unfortunately sometimes the players as well) a harder time (FFXI).
Either way a 3rd party just forced their way into your system.
Now add in shills:
Savant Says Media goes further than just providing you with our proven print campaign strategies by emphasizing a focus on reaching today's new millennium consumer - who can be found on and influenced by the internet. We take a step beyond the typical point-and-click advertising and force-fed publicity by incorporating ourselves into the highly involved online demographic and getting the communities themselves to champion your products. We take a hands-on approach with both the consumers and our clients to effectively help create and bring the desired content in front of the absolutely right audience. Whether you're looking for someone to negotiate aggressive media buys, plan and implement highly successful public relations campaigns, spearhead a guerrilla marketing movement, or communicate directly with your audience through their preferred websites, blogs, or communities, Savant Says Media is your perfect destination.
Now every time RMT comes up the conversation gets steered into those poor poor innocent starving Chinese farmers the RMT company hired for cheap labor.
Forums with ratings systems that don't have an ip checking system are even more vulnerable to shills.
Further worsen the situation by having one of the largest RMT companies create a second company, have that company become their "parent" company, and then proceed to acquire every forum with a sizable user base. Now theres no way you can avoid these people. they are in your face at every turn as a developer, demanded you make room for you presence. By fighting them you make the game harder and more players go for the "product". By letting them in you make them acceptable to your customers. Lose/lose situation.
Good grief.
This is what those companies should be hated for: foisting a made up market onto us all, player and developer alike. We can never be rid of them.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.247.251.136 (talk • contribs) 09:48, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
They'll decide it's no longer profitable when PEOPLE STOP BUYING GIL/GOLD AND THEY CAN"T CONTROL MARKETS/MONOPOLISE THINGS. Until then they will continue squeezing every last gil/gold out of every bit of the game(s) that they possibly can, and cut off every chance to make money without going through them.RMT companies believe they have an image problem, when in fact they have a buissiness practices problem.
