What could possibly go wrong?
[edit]So, the IRS only accepts ID.me, the TSA Trusted Traveler Program only accepts login.gov, and Social Security accepts either. Update: Social Security accepts both login.gov and id.me.
And ID.me can also verify digital proof of COVID-19 vaccination and test results,[1] REAL ID (required to fly within the United States),[2] and patient identity for online healthcare portals and health records.[3]
Login.gov is not owned and operated by the United States government. Login.gov is owned by two private companies: LexisNexis and Acuant.
ID.me is a private company and has a network of over 70+ million.
